Advertising Design

Client advertising projects involve initial ad concepts to creation of final artwork for submission to magazines and other print or digital mediums. Sourcing stock imagery or shooting product in a studio or on location is also often part of the creative process required for advertising.

Brochure + Catalog Design

Client brochures and catalog projects include manufacturers varying from outdoor gear to eyewear. Responsibilities extend beyond design to styling and shooting product and obtaining print quotes, handling press checks and arranging shipping of printed materials.

Illustration

Illustration is an option to convey a concept when photography is less appropriate or when images are not available. When Montrail, a Seattle outdoor footwear manufacturer wanted to promote their IntegraFit™ technology, illustration was the chosen form for communicating the message. This was also the case for the Making a Difference Foundation, a non-profit from the Okanagan, as the photography required to represent their programs, didn’t exist.

Large Format Graphics

Creative for large format graphics has included booth graphics artwork, large format posters, and vehicle graphics. Working with large format enables the client to deliver a message with impact through the creation of artwork ranging from illustration to images that have been enlarged specifically for the various applications.

Logo Design

All logos created for clients have included illustration combined with type. Once the logo design project is complete the client is supplied with file types ranging from jpegs to Illustrator files for use in any application and generally in three color formats — black and white, 4 color process (cmyk), and rgb.

Packaging Design

For packaging projects, responsibility generally goes beyond the creative – to choosing appropriate stock and creating die-lines for final artwork. Most often, paper or card stock is used however we have also printed on polypropylene and other such substrates. We liaise with the client’s printer to ensure that the output is as specified or will work with our own and be on hand for press checks.

Photography

An in-house studio with top of the line Profoto lighting is used for clients requiring imagery for advertising, websites, and catalogs. The lighting system is fully portable and can be used on location in situations ranging from photographing vineyards to retail environments.

Trade Show Graphics

The majority of trade show design work has been for the outdoor gear industry. While we do not deal with the design of the booth structure itself we will work directly with the display manufacturer on behalf of the client or will work to graphic specifications provided by the client.

T-Shirt Graphics

Promotion of a specific product or event is at the core of our experience in creating t-shirt graphics, although we also have a number of manufacturers that we have worked with to develop t-shirt lines for retail sales.

Web Site Design / Web Site Development

Web clients include the tourism industry, outdoor gear manufacturers, wineries, restaurants and non-profits. Our expertise extends to creation and development of HTML, XHTML, CSS, Flash, and database-driven websites. Compatibility for client content management (CMS) is enabled by the use of web design software applications such as Adobe’s Contribute or Wordpress, allowing for easy updates and edits on a WYSIWYG basis.
